As a research site, EBRI Online maintains old listings in the "What’s New" page, even though some of the older links may no longer function. If you reach a bad link, go back to the main site by deleting everything after ".com" or ".org" or ".net" in the address. Since we maintain www.ebri.org as a research and education resource, and not current news, we hope you will understand our policy and the use for which it is maintained.

What's New At EBRI this month:

Results of the 1998 Retirement Confidence Survey (RCS) will be released to the public at the National Press Club, First Amendment Room, on Tuesday, June 2, at 9 a.m. In addition to examining the public's attitudes and expectations regarding retirement planning and saving, this year's survey also includes a special report on minority groups (African Americans, Hispanics, and Asian Americans). Results of the first Small Employer Retirement Survey (SERS) will also be released at the same press conference. This survey explores the small employer's decision concerning whether to offer a retirement plan to its workers. Release of the surveys will coincide with a joint hearing of the Senate Special Committee on Aging and the House Subcommittee on Employer-Employee Relations, which will be held in the afternoon. In addition to focusing on barriers facing small business, the hearing will address the barriers that prevent individuals from accumulating retirement savings. Click here for the press release. Click here for more information about the RCS. Click here for information on the SERS.
